Underwater dolphins and FINISHES!

More dolphin kick without fins...and, yes, finishes for sure. Maybe put some towels over the wall clocks and get some of the Finis underwater pace clocks :)

Work, work, work. The season in France starts in September so, I'll use the weeks to come to work on technic and core strenghtening. Also I'll continue working on my working aerobic background.

I'm thinking about getting one of those snorkels.

Seeing the excitement of a big race, I decided I want a long term plan preparing for the World Master's in Sweden in 2010. This means I'll have to increase the time I spend on dryland training and focus on stroke details.

Just what everyone said - my first thing will be to work on finishes and on kicking, especially off the wall. It appears doing these things right will bring immediate results.

I became quite interested in dolphin kicks since the beginning of the Olympics and now I am improving quite well. But my main exercise is focused on balanced breathing and no breather drills.

Gotta work on my turns now that long course season is over. In the short course pool, there is no way to hide my disastrous flips.

I don't really know right now what's next for me. i got my sectional cut at a meet i was at recently and my coaches are still deciding whether or not to move me up to the National team full time or just half of the time.

Responded Aug 24, 2008 12:15AM

That's exciting news, rscswimmer! I don't see why what KJ says about Dara such a big secret? I've heard the same and have been training on the Power Plate ever since.

Responded Aug 26, 2008 11:03AM

I was just kidding... KJ is my bro and I was teasing a bit. She was shown using that thing on one of the interviews.
